My Dream

My name is Sonia I De Alba. I was born in P.R. I am forty-four years old. I have two children. I am a single mother. The year I came to this country is 1990. I came with my daugther Santa, she is six year old and Miguel is two months old. I am a high school graduate. I am a happy person and like to help others. I work in an after school program called the Ark. I enjoy what I doing and it gives me great satisfation. My favorite hobbies are reading and listening to music.

I decided to come to this city because my son had a problem when he was born. I am resident of Troy 13 years.Troy is a small city and there are lots of quiet places.When I came to this city, I did not speak English but I had the opportunity to learn. There are programs around to teach you and help you reach your goal. The great thing is that this program was located where I lived. It was called Neighbor to Neighbor. It is where I started to learn English.

This is Troy, my second home, where my children grew up and where we have a lot of fun.
